Super curious about this game due to the setting. I really haven't seen anything prior to a few days ago and forgot again but...any word out there on how gameplay-heavy this is?
Devs and Publisher streamed some early parts of the game:

Or to be exact, the devs have been showing a lot of gameplay, very little narrative walky talky.
Oh that's awesome. I'm not into walking sims myself and somehow got the impression it could veer that way.

There's far more gameplay mechanics than a Telltale game.
There is light combat, stealth, puzzle solving, light crafting, etc.
It looks like the Last of Us in that department with some unique twists and aspects to the game from what I've seen.
Not actually a story related spoiler below, but this made me happy.

Nah snagged an early copy on ebay.
Played through the first three chapters tonight. Game is good! Gorgeous setting. Amicia and Hugo are a strong pair. Pretty brutal story so far (as expected). Can't wait to dig in some more.
Disappointed there's no combat in the game though.

For what it's worth, a patch went out today/yesterday for review copies - these street dates aren't just for nothing, we're still hard at work with bug fixes, optimisation and the like. I promise it's worth the wait ;D

What platform were you playing on? Can you say anything about performance? I'm getting the game day one, but can't decide between Xbox and PS4 (my laptop ain't running this).

I mentioned in the other thread, the game has been on sale in NYC for weeks.
On Pro with SSD I'd say it's running fairly well, but I'm not an expert at picking up frame drops and such.
Thank you! Asobo are the ones who made it, we just get the easy, easy job of making it look great.
Good, varied set-pieces? Are the stealth sections pretty linear, or do you have different tactics?
Three chapters finished, just started four. All fairly varied in terms of location. All are absolutely gorgeous.
Stealth so far has been linear, though I think it's going to open up soon once I unlock different tools. Tough to say since I'm still early game. No idea how many chapters are there total.
There are plenty of collectibles I've missed so far so there's off the beaten path things to find as well.
I'd love to but it's made with Unity and very poorly optimized on PS4 (Pro). Waiting for a patch... It goes under 20fps too often. -_-
On topic: I got my copy pre-ordered, it looks amazing.
