I'm playing the third chapter on PC in 4k resolution (GTX 1080 ti) and It's incredible!!! Really good story and gameplay and a fantastic medieval world.

MS have to buy It. This team would be a Great value for Xbox portfolio.

What you think about this game?

I just got around to finishing up this game last night. Blown away from start to finish. The constant feeding of new mechanics throughout and the pacing is top notch.

Just beat it last week, really enjoyed the game a lot. Stealth wasn't too frustrating, you are constantly getting new tools to play with, characters are interesting, and it doesn't outstay its welcome.

I've not quite finished it yet (a few chapters to go), but it's been a delight. Looks good, controls well and finds ways to keep the gameplay fresh. More than any of that though, I find the setting, plot and characters so refreshing for a video game. I really can't think of another game I've played with a setting quite like it. Definitely an under appreciated gem.

Great game. Anyone who likes The Last of Us should check it out, it has many similarities.

One of my favourites from last year

It really, really is

I also played it on PC, though at basic 1080p, and I was still struck by how gorgeous it was at times

I keep recommending this game to all of my friends

Yep, absolutely amazing game and looked great on my PS4 Pro. I still think about it from time to time, I was completely engrossed in it.

Great game, although I felt the narrative needed a few more answers. For example, don't make a point of showing us dead bodies strangely untouched by the rats unless you're going to follow through with some kind of explanation.

It was alright. I thought the gameplay was repetitive and half baked, especially the crafting, and the story just sorta.... Ends, but it was a decent use of time and I am excited to see what the team does next.

why does MS have to buy them? Why would someone's brain go there. So weird
Given that MS is frontlining Senua, I can see how Plague Tale occupies that same sort of IP space.

I'm about halfway through it at the moment. I was really expecting to hate babysitting Hugo, but it's done well. He's adorable.

I went into it blind and for some reason, I thought it was going to be more....historically accurate. I'm happy that I was wrong.

While I think the gameplay is severely flawed like many (all?) cinematic games, in the way that you have to do exactly what the designer intended otherwise the game breaks, I was still captivated and couldn't put it down until I'd completed it. I wish there were more games like it, with the same respect for the player's time and understanding of how important closure is.

I stopped playing towards the end when magical things started happening but it was mostly because the game had worn thin with me by that time.

It's fantastic! Focus Home has been putting out some great games. Asobo with Plague Tale and Spiders with Greedfall. Both games I thought were absolutely incredible and they were at budget prices too.

Loved the atmosphere, hated the gameplay loop. Dropped it halfway through.
It actually becomes a pretty good game, mechanics-wise toward the final act, but I agree, it takes a bit too long to get there.

Also, am I alone in not really liking Amicia? Her monotone delivery paired with her lack of a personality made for a really boring journey whenever Hugo wasn't involved. I liked Hugo though, his "Mummy" never got old to me.

I enjoyed it for what it was, a Last of us-like with rats. Wish it was a bit more than that though. The next game should start you with all the abilities you had in the final act and build on that.

The Milky Way
Felt like a AA game trying to be a AAA game with all the usual dull AAA mechanics, stealthily hiding in bushes etc, walking and talking, and just general boredom. I'd rather AA games embrace being AA.

It's overblown and showered in hyperbole and superlatives by the people who praise it, but it's a fine, if uneven, game. A decent 7.

That comparison worries me. Just installed it on GamePass to try it blind. Might I still like it if I hated Last of Us?
Guess it depends what you hated about it?

Anyway if you have a free copy with Gamepass, just try it, nothing to lose

Did you play with the French dub? 'Cause I thought her VA was great.

It felt wonderful to play, and I loved the lead character's personality. But this was also the game where I realized I am no longer okay with animal companions dying. I stopped playing after the tutorial stealth segment because of this.

I hope it does well, though.

Not America
It was as beautiful as its AI was dumb. Granted, that's not what the game was for but that perhaps the biggest problem with the title. For things that were good, I am glad we got a survivor story (for most part) with Sister-brother dynamic with a female lead.

Story gets ridiculous towards the end but the graphics are very pretty and the atmosphere is good. Gameplay is a mixed bag but works. About an 8/10 for me.

Yeah absolutely incredible game from a smaller studio. Definitely going to keep an eye out for Asobo's next game.

Mostly the controls and pacing. Don't like forced stealth or 'realistic' aiming and having to use cover. Had to drop TLOU to easiest to play it the way I liked and even then it was rough.

Not a knock against the game just not the target audience. Is Plague Tale a stealth game of some kind? Guess there's no reason not to try it bit curious now.

I just finished it myself this past weekend. Had I played it last year, it would have been in my top 3 games of the year. It's really good.

I seriously cannot wait to play this. But I am still on PS3, so I am waiting to get the PS5 so I can play PS4 games. This is going to be one of my first purchases for sure.

Based on this, you're most likely not going to like A Plague Tale. I would love to say keep an open mind & try it out, but if stealth is an issue, then it's not for you.

Yeahhhh it's fairly stealth oriented, I'm afraid. I don't mind this at all, and the stealth gameplay isn't really that hard, but maybe it won't be for you :\

I still urge you to try it at least, since the gameplay isn't too difficult and a lot of it are puzzles rather than stealth, and the rest is just really that good.

Ah christ the only thing I hate more than stealth is puzzles LOL

Fuck it maybe the story will carry it for me. I'll still give it a shot.

It is a really great game, I thoroughly enjoyed playing through the PC version. I bought the game based on impressions here and I was still surprised at how much I liked the game when everything was said and done. The visuals, characters, story and overall atmosphere is top notch.

Not a fan of the story direction towards the end, but sure it's still a little gem.

I would like to see a sequel or an other adventure in this same world.
