• 3 prototypes have been tested by 3 different Ubi studios
• No Ubi studio want to take the project because there is huge pressure from gamers to deliver a new Splinter Cell
• Ubisoft Sofia have the project now, maybe they will try something internally

It doesn't mean they're not actively looking at how to bring the IP back, it just means there's nothing greenlit and in pre-production yet.

They're certainly going to bring Splinter Cell back in the future.
