TROS's score was completely forgettable though. It shouldn't even be nominated.
Was wondering why ABC was playing so many FX ads but then realised it's because Disney owns everything now.
biggest shame, i thought rami was great as well, but taron was amazing and did his own singing. no way they were gonna go ham on two musical bio films two years in a row, but BR being nominated for for BP will always be the biggest stain on the oscars IMO
Isn't the Oscars ceremony usually ending around midnight (EST)?

Williams is the greatest of all time but this sequel trilogy score has not been great. Prequels were better in every single way.
I lived in Korea for 4 years, knowing what I know about Koreans he's ready to drink because it's night time and that's what Koreans do. Hweshiks were awesome.
Yeah, it really is amazing. All of the vampires are great (a special shout-out to Colin as the Energy Vampire, amazing concept and as an office drone myself it hits waaay too close to home). Sad that the new vampire that can go invisible won't be on the show next season. =/

Special Effects are practical effects done during production. Visual effects are cgi and other post production work.

Yeah but there's only one Oscar, right? Unless the other is given out during the technical awards.

I remember people walking out when it first showed at my local artsy cinema.
I had Ford and Ferrari for editing. The race sequences are exceptional.
That being said, I do get the feeling the Academy doesn't know the difference either sometimes.
Irishman had more claim to that award than the Disney trio.
I think FvF was actually the betting odds favorite for editing, or it was basically a toss-up between that and Parasite. There really haven't been any big surprises.
Oscar wise, their category for 'Visual Effects' has been there for nearly a century, but they seem to have combined the categories and don't distinguish between digital and practical.
Which is a damned shame.
