I don't even watch or read much from or about Giant Bomb, but the more I see these threads and rankings, the more it seems to me that their reputation for "We hate everything" is perhaps warranted.

There was a ton of trash in the 80s, and they make a list of decent to good songs (for the most part)...

Yup, keep the above in mind. It's not a list of "all these songs are bad." They take a song and rank it on the list. If it's good, it goes towards the bottom. If it's bad, it goes towards the top. "Hungry Like the Wolf" is the least-worst song on their list.

If you listen to the actual podcast it's obvious and repeated over and over what they are doing. The only trolling is reposting the list without that context. OP did that not giant bomb

As someone who attended high school and college in the '80s, I consider myself at least a little knowledgeable about the music of that era. Any list of worst songs that doesn't have Come On Eileen in the top 5 is an instant failure.
