Charli XCX missed the cutoff date by about two weeks. Hope her last album doesn't get forgotten but it probably will because it's the Grammys.

how the hell did Lil Nas X get an AOTY nomination?! Old Town Road is flames and I got nothing but love for Lil Nas, but as an album that shit's... aight.

his AOTY nominee slot should have went to Tyler the Creator's IGOR or Freddie Gibbs' Bandana. Ffs.

Your first mistake was assuming the Grammys are anything but a joke.

oh no I always expect that. That doesn't stop me from getting heated lol.

I will admit that it's nice to see more black representation in the nominees for AOTY. That's appreciated, particularly with H.E.R. getting a slot... but ffs.
That's why not giving a fuck is the way to be. I want to see Lil Nas X win everything just for the Twitter aftermath. It would be glorious.

Nice to at least see 2 ''alternative'' noms in AOTY even though they're both pretty bad. Lana should get it but they're going to give it to Billie i'm sure.

The Grammys continue being a joke. I don't get why people still take this shit seriously

I knew coming into this thread that the Grammys are a joke. Lil Nas X with an "Album of the Year" nomination and IGOR with only a "Best Rap album"??? Yup, Grammys are still a joke.

How was A Star is Born snubbed like this?
I was expecting it to be nominated for sure for AOTY

Multiple nominations for Lana is great, seeing Vampire Weekend and Big Thief get noms is great too.

Little high school freshman me would've laughed his ass off if you told him Bring Me The Horizon would be nominated for a Grammy one day.

The Grammys mean nothing to me but I'm happy to see Rival Sons at least get some recognition. One of my favourite bands that, in my opinion, haven't put out a bad album yet. If Jay Buchanan was around in the 70s, he would be a big star with a voice like his.

Rooting for Lana, but I'm expecting Ariana or Billie to win which I honestly don't mind.

A few comments:

- I'm happy for Lil Nas X so I hope he takes something home. 7 EP is really fun.

- ... But it's an EP. It's literally called "7 EP" so isn't that technically not an album?

- No nomination for Carly's Dedicated is laughable. It's a far better album than what Ariana released.

- Happy to see Bring Me the Horizon nominated. The album is great.

- No IGOR for Album of the Year is an absolute joke.

Cool to see Death Angel getting mainstream attention, they've certainly been the most consistent old school thrash band the past few years

Yeah. I forgot how bad Grammy's can be until I looked at this.

I mean Lana deserves a shot, but the overall picks for a lot of the categories are strange.

While the album sold a massive amount, they kind of left it to die and stopped promoting it after Shallow. I remember it being an early front runner - part of me does wonder if there was some committee interference there considering the weird mix of AOTY nominees. GaGa is lucky that the non-single Always Remember Us This Way resonated so well with voters that they voted for it for SOTY so I can live with that regardless.
