One of the best things about Kingpin is the challenge and difficulty.
"Re-balanced and polished" is guaranteed to ruin that.
I forgot about that. It was kinda great, in a weird, disturbing way.
Open it in YouTube and it will work.
I remember enjoying it back in the day, but I have my doubts it holds up.
Also look at those beautiful wobbling polygons!
I can't wait to spend 3 hours fighting through the maze like factory level, rescuing the guy, spending another 2 hours painstakingly escorting his horrid pathfinding ass back to the bar and having the game not recognize he's there softlocking me from continuing again.
The rose tinted glasses are strong in here, Kingpin is not a good game.
Fixed? I played the whole game with no problems at all and it was great.Did Ion Fury ever get fixed or is that still a whole clusterfuck?
The original idea was that it was going to be a more sci-fi focused game, in the vein of something like Blade Runner. But it was toned down a bit after Cypress Hill was brought on board.Retro Gamer: Issue 178 said:"I've lived in cities all my life," Viktor Antonov says. "For Kingpin, we went to downtown LA and took pictures for references. you get on a plane, you go somewhere you've never been before, you get off the plane there's this impact of light, colour, smells and architecture that hits you in the face. that's what I was trying to bring."
samePlayed this as a kid but didn`t know what to do in this game, was only in for the gore, lol.
Maybe I´ll revisit it.
