Preordered mine today at memory express in Canada. I just got a 2080ti a few months ago, but I use my rig more for production and editing than gaming. Anything to reduce render times is worth it to me.

Did anyone who ordered the 3090 FE from nvidia's US site NOT get an email of confirmation? my order is processing and my bank account has the pending transaction, but i got no kind of confirmation from Nvidia about the order.
My confirmation email came in 15-20 minutes after the order after the "We're Processing your Order" email.

I ordered from Overclockers at exactly 13:57 yesterday and don't have any delivery estimate. Then again, I ordered a Strix OC and I'm almost certain those were delayed so who the hell knows when anyone will have stock.
I'm not buying a 3090 but I had to come in and say that I heartily laughed while reading the OP. Bravo!

A friend who works at HawkEye (now owned by Sony) and has a close relationship with Scan has informed me even they can't get card until next year. Scan informed them they had over 60,000 orders for the 3080 with only 6000 units (the highest in UK) allocated to them.
I suddenly feel much better about having to wait a month for my 3090!

Got my 3090 order through with them yesterday and got the email through from Currys early hours of this morning to say it had been dispatched, followed by an email from DPD to say it was due today as expected, and that I'd get a delivery time slot advised by 11am.
Well 11am came and went and no timeslot. I spoke to DPD and they said they still haven't received the parcel from Currys so it can't be delivered today, and to speak to Currys. Spoke to Currys and they said it's been dispatched and to speak to DPD. Going around in circles with both, long wait times on the phones etc, clueless advisors.
So wtf am I supposed to do now!

Sooooo, I just won a sweepstake with cclonline to order a 3090 card, I now have a MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ventus OC arriving Monday!
I'm not in a rush to upgrade so I'm on the fence about what to do with it, keep it or throw it on eBay and make a ridiculous profit and essentially get a 3080 later for free...
I'm running a 100hz ultrawide monitor and I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost for the performance margin.

Most gaming reviews have sections dedicated to benchmarks from professional applications and benchmarking tools.
Anyone else who ordered a 3090 from Nvidia directly yesterday, received the order confirmation, payment confirmation and now today can't see the order on there Nvidia account ?

Probably just Digital River being garbage. I ordered a 3090 yesterday and have been able to check the order status all day, but now it's just throwing an error.
As long as the payment is confirmed I wouldn't worry about it.
Same boat. Manual search didn't work either. Wonder if they're doing updates to their systems today. My last few orders from them shipped around 2pm PST the day after I placed the order, so I'm hoping we see movement soon.
I just received a notification from FedEx that my card has been picked up. Overnight delivery and arriving Monday.
Is there a brief explanation for why the 3090 only gets 10-20% more perf than the 3080 at 4k? I thought it has like twice the core count.
Not sure where you read that, but it has pretty much exactly 20% more cores than the 3080. 20% is the maximum improvement you're going to see.
You could see 90%+ in the rare scenario where the 3080 starves of VRAM and switches to single digits fps or downright crashes ...
but yeah otherwise +20% across the boars (except ROPs)

how did you even get it from Nvidia's site? It was stuck on the checking out part for me forever.
I came in here to bitch and complain and a user dropped a link that put the 3090 in your cart and left you at checkout. Somehow it went through.
Still waiting on mine. It feels like forever. Still just shows status as processing.
I do see where is says boxed shipment under the gpu in the house invoice, so hopefully I get a tracking number soon.
