I play FFXIV and was so giddy when they did an entire endgame raid tier based on FFVI bosses. Fighting Kefka with that music blaring was SOOOOOO satisfying.
Yes indeed. No other cast of characters feels as tightly knit yet diverse as FFVI's party.
My favorite thing about VI (well, one of them), is the general theme of the game that I didn't really appreciate as a kid - loss. Every character in the game is dealing with a loss in some way or other. Be it a loved one, or identity, memory, freedom, or some combination there of. All of them are traumatized by something, even the villains (Kefka's loss of sanity, etc).
As I got older and started to lose things, too, it resonates even more. In really bad times it reminds me to keep going, even when it feels like you can't.
I don't want to see a full 3d remake. I'd love to see one in the style of FFIV PSP though. I'm still boggled that Square hasn't done so (and even more confused as to why they haven't ported older some of these gems to current gen consoles. I'd love a lot of them on the Switch!).
Cyan was such a funny character in that specific dungeon. Especially if you interact with the restaurant room, he's so panicky about the food, rightfully so!My favorite and the best Final Fantasy! :D
And Phantom Train is the best ;)

lol @ Celes just lying like she's relaxing at a beach
I think there's at least one romhack on romhacking.net that attempts to address the audio?Oh, agreed, I love them. It's just frustrating because GBA version has the best localization and most content, but the sound quality in it is poor.

One and done, close this thread down.
