SMT V, Rune Factory 5, Disgaea 6, Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Trails of Cold Steel IV, Ys IX, probably Bravely Default II at this point. It's not even 2021 yet and there's already a metric boatload of jRPGs hitting the platform.

Switch sales in Japan are going to be actually insane next year. What's everyone looking forward to next year?

Monster Hunter Story and Bravery Default (still have to play the first) I'm kinda burnt out on Disgaea, been playing those since PS2 and they are kinda the same after you put in 200hrs for one.

SMTV is the only one I have any interest in, but definitely a lot of games coming down the pipe for people to dig into.

Probably picking up all those besides MH:RIse(I'm a bit burned out after World). Ys IX will be a PS4 purchase for me.

That's a great line-up. Really hard to choose... I guess I'd probably take SMTV and Disgaea 6 first.

I'll be picking up SMT V and BD2 from that list. Already played Cold Steel 4 and will be playing Ys IX on PS4 or PC, not interested in the rest.

SMT V for sure. I'd like to see what kind of feedback SE implements from Bravely Default II's demo before picking it up, and Ys IX is going to very much depend on how it performs (Ys VIII has problems on Switch, and IX apparently has problems even on PS4).

Rune Factory games are underrated. They are just a lot of fun. Really looking forward to RF5.

That, SMT 5 and Ys 9 are by far my most anticipated RPGs (well, FF16 now too).

I'm interested in all of them besides Disgaea 6 and that's more because over time I've realized Disgaea as a series doesn't hook me personally, I know many people love them though

Definitely buying SMTV.
Cannot wait for the Switch port of Trails of Cold Steel 4 and wil play it on PS4.
Interested in Rune Factory 5 and Monster Hunter Stories 5.

Edit: Someone mentioned it, also SMT3 Remastered

Literally all of them. I am a bit iffy on BD2 because I didn't like the demo but I'm hoping they improve it for the next showing.

Definitely Monster Hunter Rise. Will probably play a few others of those eventually as well but Rise is the only one that's 100%

I'm just getting SMT5 and Nocturne Remastered. Stories 2 and Rune Factory 5 are maybes. I played MH Stories 1 and enjoyed it but it was very vanilla feeling compared to other Pokemon-style games I've played, I'll probably wait a year or two to see if it goes down in price. Rune Factory I've been interested in getting into for a while but Idk if 5 is the best place to start. I've tried earlier Bravely Default and Disgaea games and I didn't really like them at all. Maybe some day I'll get into Ys but I have several games in the series on PC unplayed. Monster Hunter standard seems like not my thing, and also not really a JRPG from what I understand.

And that's in. I'll consider Monster Hunter Rise if performance is substantially improved from what they showed today, because I just can't play games that run like that anymore.

I guess Rise is a jRPG in the same way Dark Souls is? AKA not actually a jRPG?

Definitely getting Rise and SMT V. I haven't played Stories so I gotta do that before 2 comes out.
