SHEEZUS! I contemplated on the Deluxe for 50 on Amazon when the PS5 ver was $30. Then I cancelled and copped the PS4 ver for $25. Now the PS5 version is $25 and the deluxe is got dang $35. What a rollercoaster.

The price drops on it have been crazy. I don't get what's motivating it.

I'd also echo this is the best BF for gaming in years.

LOL same. I'm having to stop myself from buying stuff just for the sake of it. Everything's so cheap and there are so many good deals.

Yeah I agree. As a dude who is a total cheap ass when it comes to games and watches sales and the secondhand market like a hawk, I've seen a ton of all-time lows for a lot of new and recent games. Great stuff this year.

I played it on PS5 and had no issues, but I've read people say it performs slightly better on series x.
I played on the 5 and was impressed. Not 1 issue comes to mind.
Thanks for the feedback!

Beat it on PS5, the dual sense is nice with the haptics and triggers. I heard Xbox version had input lag at launch but that might have been fixed

I played on the 5 and was impressed. Not 1 issue comes to mind.

This was the summary in the Digital Foundry thread:

- In Non RT mode. Both PS5 and SX consoles deliver 99.9% locked 60 FPS experience. DF did not encounter a single frame rate drop in their testing.
- RT mode on SX and PS5 retains the same visual quality.
- Both consoles do a good job retaining 60 FPS in most areas. However some sequences can push both consoles hard to the high 40's or low 50's.
- Series X generally has a couple of frames advantage in stress areas. 7 to 10%.
- With a VRR display, these drops are negligible to the human eye.
- Xbox SX|SS have an approx 8 second load when loading a save, PS5 has 1.5~ second load in same scenarios.
- DF comments on the controller feature usage on both the DS and Xbox Pad. Rumble triggers etc are used.

Sounds like they're mostly the same with some slight performance advantages on the Series X version and slower loading when loading a save.
That's kind of what I'm torn on, I heard it runs ever so slightly better on XSX, but if the DualSense or 3D audio implementation are top notch, it might be a worthwhile trade

What? This year is the best BF in awhile. When was the last time we got a bunch of 1st party Switch games @ $27? Digital versions were also the same price which is unheard-of. I have never spent this much money at Gamestop on BF deals for years.
last year actually. With a few dollar difference give or take. I know cuz I bought a couple lol. Digital versions were not the same price tho.

The deal this year was good cuz B2G1 was going on in store if you were lucky enough to find 3 games you want.

Idk this is my dilemma lol. It's part of the reason I haven't bought the game yet despite the positive reception, can't make up my mind which platform

I haven't been impressed with Tempest at all, and it's also fairly useless if you're not using headphones as the TV speaker mode just isn't great either. I wouldn't rely on Tempest as a deciding point. It's a non issue if you're using a surround sound setup.

...What the heck.

I have absolutely no idea why or how, but I got one of those emails from Microsoft giving the chance to get an Xbox Series X bundle. I have no idea why, or how: I hardly ever use the MS store (as in, it's been years), and the email was almost 3 hours old when I got it, but I still managed to get one. It's supposed to be arriving in 2 or 3 business days... I don't know what to do...

I'm needing to get one for my dad but that looks way too complicated for him haha. The man straight up doesn't use a computer or the internet. I wonder if there's a decent sale on one that's basically just a physical dial to adjust heat and cool time

Fingers crossed there is cheaper controllers, I want one but not so desperately at full price.

As usual with BF, I can't think of anything to buy in the moment, it's just noise, I hardly look but a controller seems a safe bet that I half want.

I got an email from MS giving me a link to order a Series X with a game and a controller for $599. No hassle either.

There's probably negative chance of a Sword/Shield price cut yeah? I was hoping for a $40 drop like last year but I guess BD/SP drop makes it impossible....sad

I wish these poor GameStop associates could be allowed to just close the store and go home. It was wild for half an hour and it's been dead since.

been kind of an uneventful gaming BF for me this year. i've been buying most games closer to launch for the past two years, as I haven't been doing much outside the house due to covid. as a result, there's nothing really leaping out at me. I feel like sales and gamepass have conditioned me to think some of these games are still too expensive to buy, and i'm primarily digital, which is more expensive than most bf sales for some reason.

my main purchases was around 20 UHD discs, a new UBP-X700M and a Sony 55X90J for the living room. been using it primarily with the series x for forza and halo since getting it.

There is a really cool part in the game were on PS5 it uses the controller speaker. Even my husband was kind of taken aback at the interesting utilization as he was walking by.

Anyone know of any good deals for wired earbuds/headphones? Looking for replacement buds but I could go for either, mainly just looking for something cheap with ideally a durable cord that'll last me more than a few months.

Is the anniversary controller available anywhere? :(

should've been following wario64 or cheap ass gamer on twitter
They posted it for $49 yesterday

It's still that price but pick up only

but if you see any in store tomorrow or even online it might change to the sale price for Xbox controllers since price glitches can happen
Or try price matching that link with another store, dunno if it'll work though
