IP Theft is meaningless to people who don't own IP, or who aren't directly employed in the work of IP enforcement.
The only real argument against that though is that many many times, the consumer has no idea they wanted something or preferred something until they had it.

IP theft isn't an issue in its own.. It's a part of the problem of the economic power struggle with China. You're acting like there was an entire question about IP theft when the candidates just mentioned it as one of the causes of trade tensions.

The vast majority of Americans are not going to care about protecting IP laws. It's a topic of the lowest priority.

I think the idea is he has to stand there and not make any disastrous mistakes. He's riding in on the #1 position placement. Someone hungry and talented has to overperform to knock him off his spot.
