Oh really? Every time Prime has those add-ons for free or 99 cents, I make sure to cancel asap, just in case.
Unless they changed their policy, that's what they did for all the free trials they gave out with new iPhones and other devices.

I know because I have a reminder in August to cancel. lol

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Entourage creator Doug Ellin accuses HBO of minimizing Entourage's presence online. "For a while, we were hiding in, like, 'Wish-Fulfillment Shows,'" he says. "We were nominated for the Emmys or the Golden Globes almost every single year, so to not put us on the 'Must-See Comedy' list was pretty bizarre." (A quick scan of HBO MAX reveals that Entourage is, in fact, listed under the 'Must-Watch Comedies' tab, sandwiched between Sex and the City and Curb Your Enthusiasm.)

Ellin goes on to speculate that the retroactive backlash to Entourage is what led HBO to pass on his 2012 follow-up, the comedy 40, starring Michael Imperioli, Michael Rappaport and Ed Burns. The project never made it beyond the pilot stage, something Ellen says he will "never forgive" HBO for.

"Whether they thought it was good or not, I earned my chance to have a second shot," Ellin maintains in the Yahoo interview. "And they put some other pretty crappy shows on [instead]."

I get his point about earning another chance after producing one of HBO's biggest hits (they've done that sort of thing in the past, most recently giving Avenue 5 a series order to keep Armando Iannucci happy despite it being absolutely horrendous), but it's still kinda weird to hear him say that openly.

I saw a couple episodes of Entourage at some point and I had to bail on it fast. Wasn't even a show I could power through. Figured it was just me since it seemed to be incredibly popular. The most entertaining thing related to it was a joke on American Dad.

Entourage was pretty good/entertaining those first few seasons. It just went on too long. Even if it was lifestyle porn with things always working out for the crew.

The Duchess Cancelled at Netflix

Netflix's comedy series 'The Duchess' has been cancelled after one season — get details.

Series star Katherine Ryan first broke the news on Wednesday's episode of Vicky Pattison's The Secret To… podcast, sharing that Netflix "didn't want to make any more. Not enough people watched it. I think something like 10 million people watched it in 28 days, and that wasn't enough."

Really curious to see if (and how high) Handmaid's Tale will chart on Nielsen's streaming list this season. The cultural zeitgeist has moved on but it seems like it's still Hulu's biggest series...?

Literally not a single person I know irl who at some point watched this show is still watching. I think if we had full viewers numbers for every episode, we would be genuinely impressed at the drop off.

Lucifer getting renewed to basically give the writers a chance to end it properly (after dicking around for a season) is a bit of a miracle, and then they got two extra seasons. What a weird one. lol
