LIVE from the beautiful USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City.
A fantastic fortnight of Grand Slam tennis that will hopefully end in more cheers than booing this year.
Every match will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN+, and after their coverage is done, the Tennis Channel.

And now for the draws!

Thanks for making the thread EvilChameleon
I think Djokovic has a much better chance of defending their title than Osaka

Monday night we are treated to Serena v. Sharapova round 1!
Last slam of the year...let's go!

Come on Barty (hopefully Osaka isn't hampered by her sudden knee problem recently)! I'm hoping for a good showing from De Minaur as well.

At the US Open for my 5th year. Watching the tiebreak between Pliskova and Martincova at Louis Armstrong (courtside seating, in fact). Best weather I've ever experienced on the first day, cool and breezy.

Serena v. Sharapova is on. So strange to see them play this early until you watch them play and realize they are not the players they were 10 years ago.

If you have the opportunity to see the Williams sisters play, take it. They are that much more impressive live.

6 Aussie blokes still ticking (De Minaur through to second) and 3 Aussie ladies down and out already with 3 sheilas still kicking (Barty survived that first set thrashing to head into second round). Impressive to see so many Aussies at the majors time and again.

Also yes the Williams sisters domination is very impressive in person, they own the court when they step out there.

Also also, really backing Popyrin, the young Aussie. Hope he keep his levels of form up and gets some higher rankings this year.

That sounds lovely. When I was there in 2016 it felt like watching tennis in a bowl of warm soup.

Wow. That's quite incredible. A quick search shows it being roughly 7:30AM in India. Would be something else to wake up to.

I'm going to be traveling/out of the country tomorrow until the 8th and was sad I'll be missing a lot of the USO. But hey on the bright side I will at least get to watch 100% of Fed's matches.

Federer will most likely turn this around but I don't want to inflict myself the pain of watching him struggle against a challenger journeyman (not to mention clay specialist)

Last thing Federer needs at 38 is playing four or five sets early on in the tournament and that's if he makes it through.

Someone needs to go to centre court and pick up the real Federer as his head seems to still be there.

Roger is looking so rough out here. He just seems uncomfortable. Ain't the weather this time, it's cool.

Few things as satisfying in life as seeing Serena absolutely annihilate and destroy the doping cheat, Sharapova.

Was surprised to see Fed dropped the first set. Nagal is making my boy work for it tonight. Some very impressive shotmaking from him even if Fed was trash after 2 love in the 1st.

Tsitsipas is cramping so badly he's just slapping the ball as hard as possible.

I haven't been following tennis very closely the last few years (pretty funny to see Fed, Nadal, Djokovic still at the top of the mountain). Started getting back into it recently during Wimbledon. Who are the fun up-and-comers to check out?

Bummer to see Querrey and Berdych already bounced in the first round. Are they pretty much washed these days?

Tsitsipas match seems like it would have been a fun one to watch. Getting close now.

Rublev, Shapovalov, Auger-Aliassime (who plays Shapovalov later today), de Minaur.

Khachanov and Medvedev (both Russian, and both 23 years old) are two as well, but both are in the top 10 already. Same with Zverev.

I was gonna mention Fritz too, but he's out to Lopez already, oof.

Edit: Yeah, both Querrey (46) and Berdych (101) have been struggling.
