You're right, it's definitely cluttered. Especially annoying how often UI stuff covers the minimap. One of my few complaints about the gameplay.

The way I see it is that they are days With a similar goal but not the exact same day. For example, Everyday Shiba and Juro are trying to find Shu to go to his house to play video games but you can go about it differently.
That's how I've been trying to make sense of it too. But it makes more sense in some situations than others.
But subs are much better IMO. The dub is okay, but it sounds like your average dubbed anime. I guess if you like dubbed anime then go for it.
It took me a while to figure this out but during battle when you are selecting actions, the cursor transforms into the minimap. I was also annoyed with UI covering the map in the corner until I realized this
I'm most excited for his, I just unlocked it. I want to see what he brings to the table. Every interaction with him so far has been extremely enjoyable.
Lip flaps aren't as much of a constraint for the most part. Especially in cases where they can be adjusted.

My wife usually doesn't pick up the same games as I do, but she's heard my reactions to this one and has asked me to hand it off to her now that I'm finished.
Just... Vanillaware made something incredibly special with this. I'm intimately familiar with all the tropes that went into the various pieces of the storytelling, but the craftsmanship behind weaving them together into the cohesive whole, was just so great.
One of my favorites of this entire generation, by far. And in the Sci Fi Genre, best I've enjoyed since Horizon and before that, the most recent Dues Ex games.

It's really annoying in Japanese too. Every time she starts speaking I'm hoping there's not too much to say as it takes her about three times longer than anyone else to get the words out.
I'm switching between characters all the time. Embrace the madness.

There is no wrong way to play the game. Just take it at your pace, in any order you want. Getting tired of playing the adventure mode, cool. Play the battle mode for a bit. Go back to the adventure.
Definitely saving Ogata for as late as possible after those impressions. I'm done with Yuki and Natsumi. I kinda feel a lot of potential from Miura, Juro and Ryoko so I'm trying to save those for last too. Other favorites?

I usually can't "connect" as well with subs, a lot of the tone is lost for me as I'm just reading.
Game is such a treat, started with Natsuno and folllowing the obvious path from there....so good.
Give it a go. You can always swap back if you're not feeling it.

Yes, it happens frequently both when dubbing media that was originally in another language and when English is the original language.
I like to play games in their original voice but the English dub in this is FANTASTIC
